Your cultural background and values are central to the way we work together. I approach every session with curiosity and openness, asking questions to understand your perspective, rather than making assumptions. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel respected and understood. I adjust my techniques to ensure they are relevant to your cultural experiences, and I adapt my communication to fit your preferences.
You are the expert in your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you as we navigate your unique journey. I take a person-centred approach, which means I focus on your individual needs, strengths, and goals. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor our sessions to meet you where you are, supporting your personal growth in a way that feels meaningful to you.
Life experiences, especially traumatic ones, can shape the way we see ourselves and the world around us. In my practice, I approach every session with a trauma-informed lens, meaning I’m sensitive to the ways trauma can impact your mental health and overall well-being. I work to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel comfortable exploring your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. We’ll take things step by step, ensuring that you always feel in control of your healing process.
I believe that you already have the inner resources to overcome the challenges you’re facing—it’s just about tapping into them. In our work together, we’ll focus on building on your strengths, recognizing your resilience, and using those qualities to move forward. We’ll acknowledge the difficulties, but we’ll also celebrate your successes, no matter how small, as a vital part of your growth.
I like to mix and match different therapeutic modalities to fit your needs, much like having a toolbox filled with various tools to help navigate life’s challenges.
The techniques I use include:
I customize these therapies to ensure that my approach is culturally responsive, trauma-informed, person-centred, and strengths-based.
I’ve been fortunate to work in diverse settings, from public service roles at the Department of Education to community hubs like Headspace and various private practices. My experience spans metropolitan and regional Victoria, giving me valuable insights into the unique characteristics of each setting. Growing up and working in the Middle East, also prepared me for working with individuals from diverse cultural identities. As an Educational and Developmental Psychologist, my focus has been on supporting neurodivergent individuals, parents, children, adolescents, and educators. My work has involved providing individual therapy, group therapy, consultations, and psychological assessments.
I am proud that, throughout my professional career, I have worked hard to ensure that those I work with receive the advocacy and support they deserve.
